Description of the lecture
Special Features of Violin Lessons for Beginners Using the Colourstring Method
The Colourstring method was developed by the renowned teacher and violinist Géza Szilvay. For over 40 years, children around the world have been learning to play musical instruments using this method. It is a child-centered approach that considers the unique characteristics of children's perception and learning, ensuring the highest quality and systematic mastery of the fundamentals of violin playing.
In my presentation, I will discuss the three main components of the method: pre-instrumental learning, solfa-based learning (do, re, mi), and absolute pitch notation-based learning. I will also share my experiences in implementing and adapting this methodology within the context of Ukrainian music education.
You will have access to the video recording of the lecture for 3 months following your purchase.
